At this juncture all new material is posted to the website. This includes the new question pool, new study guide, and new flyer. It appears that this year there will be 426 questions in the pool, and at this point each of the eight classes has been assigned their questions for each specific class day. Please see below.
The Technician class will start on Sunday July 20th at 7 PM EDT and will conclude on Tuesday August the 12th consisting with two classes a week for four weeks on Sunday and Tuesday during this period. Entrance for non-hams will be via Skype and cross linked to our EchoLink server *SCARS*. Further information may be found by contacting us at email@example.com.
I have taken it upon myself to use last year’s instructor teams, and this is shown below also. Please review this information and see if it fits with your contribution. Please RSVP so we know who will be on first and who is going to second.

Update 2000 EDT 3-30-2012
This 2012 Technician class has now completed its 4th class of 7, this means we are now 57% to the end of the tunnel.
It has been suggested and further looked upon favorably by the students to extend this course by possibly one additional session. The course is scheduled to complete on Sunday April the 8th, but the class participants are currently reviewing the thought of also having a session on Friday the 13th that would be simply a question and answer session regarding any concerns, or any necessary further discussion of the material covered.
As this discussion is finalized, the result will be posted on this page.

STATUS UPDATE 3-22-10
The Southcars Outreach Program is gaining momentum. Again this is a Southcars movement to encourage people of all ages to become interested in our amateur radio hobby, and assist where we can to see this interest finalize itself to the point of obtaining radio licenses.
Although yet in our early stage of preparation, we have some basic plans under consideration that we would like to share with you.
1-We have developed an information flyer which will be sent to our entire membership. This will be asking each member to please circulate within their community, and further direct interested people in our direction. This flyer and request is scheduled to be sent this week.
2-A publication to be posted on QRZ has been made, and will be posted this week indicating our intent, and our motivations.
3-We plan to offer for starters a Technician training course using a now prepared PowerPoint presentation with embedded audio. This will be accomplished over a seven to eight week period and conducted on our SCARS Echolink 96140 and IRLP 9614 server.
Entrance of those registering for this course will be made by contacting a prearranged conference available on Skype, will be administered by a licensed control operator, and in turn will be patched to and from our SCARS server.
4-Although not yet finalized, we are currently looking at 8 PM EDT on Tuesday for the main one hour course for the week, with a review time for those in need on each Sunday at 7 PM EDT.
5-It should be understood that due to the varying requirements for licensing around the world, that at present this course will just be covering the requirements necessary for licensing within the jurisdiction of the United States. We graciously offer time and space on our server for other countries should they wish to pursue this opportunity.
Further details as they become available will be published on this website at WWW.VOIP.SOUTHCARS.COM and in specific the Outreach Corner area of this home page. Questions, comments or suggestions may be forwarded via email to VOIP@SOUTHCARS.COM.
